Your language belongs here.

Keep Whisper for familiar languages. Choose MultiLingual Pro when your recordings need wider coverage.

Speechyou’s application catalog has 1,668 language/script configurations across 1,648 distinct language codes. That is the basis of the rounded “1,700” claim. TurboScribe advertises 98+ languages; the two counts use different conventions, so we do not turn them into a multiplier.[10][11][1]

Find your language

A few languages worth checking

Available in Speechyou’s catalog. Not listed in the TurboScribe language selector reviewed on September 13, 2026.

Language availability is not an accuracy guarantee. Test your dialect, script, and recording quality.[10][11]

Whisper is the reference point.

Both products offer Whisper-based transcription. Speechyou gives you an additional model for languages outside Whisper’s coverage.[13][11][5]

Whisper in both products

Whisper is a family of models with different speed and accuracy trade-offs. Sharing that family does not mean two hosted products produce identical transcripts. Versions, settings, and audio preparation matter.[13]

MultiLingual Pro in Speechyou

Choose MultiLingual Pro for recordings in languages beyond the usual Whisper list. Explore our supported languages and model guide to find the right option for your audio.[11]

A fair accuracy test uses your audio.

TurboScribe advertises 99.8% accuracy. We have not established a comparable head-to-head score. Try the same recording, then check names, numbers, speaker changes, and editing time. This page does not claim that Speechyou is more accurate on every recording.[1][13]

Read the benchmark context

OpenAI’s Whisper repository documents performance differences by language and model. Those results are a useful reference, but are not a direct score for either hosted product. Test the same audio in both products to compare the results that matter to you.[13]

To compare products, hold the audio, language, speaker settings, and reference transcript constant. Record the model/version where available, word error rate, important factual errors, speaker-label errors, turnaround, and time needed to correct the output.

Turn a transcript into your next step.

Speechyou combines recording, searchable notes, and AI assistance in the same workspace. Choose it for the workflow you actually use.[14][9]

Ask questions inside your notes

Get summaries, action items, and answers with Ask AI on Solo. TurboScribe also supports AI questions through its GPT in ChatGPT; Speechyou keeps this step inside the app.[9][4]

Explore meeting notes

Explore an API integration

Bring your language and volume requirements to the Speechyou team. API access is by request with separate commercial terms. We found no public developer API documentation in the TurboScribe sources reviewed.[12][3]

Explore API access

Record, organize, export

Batch-upload recordings, organize notes with tags and search, then export text, subtitles, or JSON. Fine-tune subtitle output with detailed segmentation controls. Both tools offer recording and import options; choose around the outputs and organization you need.[14][1]

Transcribe voice memos

Take Speechyou on the go

Record an idea between meetings, transcribe an interview, or share a summary from your phone. Speechyou’s mobile app brings your recording and note workflow to iPhone and iPad, with a Mac app available too.[16]

Explore the mobile app

Your notes, inside your AI tools

Connect Speechyou to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other MCP-compatible AI clients. Let your assistant search and read your transcripts, then answer questions using your notes. Custom-connector support and setup depend on the client.[17]

Set up the MCP connector

Bring your bigger recordings

Upload files up to 10 GB on Speechyou Solo. That gives you more room for large audio and video files, compared with TurboScribe Unlimited’s published 5 GB per-file limit.[9][3]

Both products support batch uploads and detailed subtitle segmentation. TurboScribe also documents audio restoration and organization billing.[3][7][1]

The research behind the table.

For large archives, teams, and sensitive recordings, these details deserve a separate look.

What does unlimited mean at very high volume?

TurboScribe says its regular Unlimited service is designed for at least 720 hours a month. This is not a hard cap. Regularly exceeding that level can trigger High Volume Mode, which changes scheduling and upload availability. Its separate Unlimited Max plan is $200 monthly or $2,000 annually and offers dedicated capacity. Speechyou’s unlimited-note allowance does not establish an equivalent throughput guarantee.[6][15][9]

How do translation and subtitle options compare?

Both products translate transcripts, export subtitles, and offer detailed subtitle segmentation controls. TurboScribe’s current plan copy lists 134+ translation languages. Speechyou’s transcription catalog should not be used as a count of equally accurate translation directions; confirm your required source/target pair in the app.[2][3][11]

What about team billing and privacy?

TurboScribe’s team offering consolidates licenses at $120 per user annually. Its security FAQ describes encrypted storage and transmission, US primary infrastructure, in-house transcription, and no training on customer media or transcripts. These are vendor statements, not an independent audit. This page makes no claim that Speechyou has stronger security or identical team permissions. Confirm organization-specific requirements with each provider.[7][8]

Your questions, answered.

Is Speechyou cheaper than TurboScribe?

Yes, for the individual web plans compared here. Speechyou Solo is $15 monthly versus $20 for TurboScribe Unlimited, or $67 annually versus $120. Annual billing saves $53 compared with TurboScribe’s annual plan. Prices are in USD; taxes are excluded. API access has separate terms.

Is Speechyou more accurate than TurboScribe?

We have not established that in a controlled product comparison. Both offer Whisper-based transcription. Speechyou also offers MultiLingual Pro for broader language coverage. Model research provides context, but recording quality, language, model version, and processing settings affect results. Compare the same audio before deciding.

Does Speechyou really support 1,700 languages?

About 1,700 is the rounded language/script catalog claim. The application catalog reviewed for this page contains 1,668 language/script configurations spanning 1,648 distinct language codes, excluding automatic detection. A language can have multiple scripts. Coverage is not a promise of equal accuracy in every language.

Can I use Speechyou’s API with a Solo subscription?

Do not assume API access is included. Speechyou currently offers API access by request. Contact the team to confirm languages, volume, output formats, implementation, and pricing for your integration.

Does TurboScribe have AI summaries or recording?

Yes. TurboScribe documents summaries and questions through its ChatGPT GPT, and its live upload interface includes Record and Import from Link controls. Speechyou offers Ask AI within its own app on Solo. The useful distinction is the workflow.

Is the Speechyou trial free?

Yes. Start with a three-day free trial of Speechyou Solo. Your subscription renews at the selected price unless canceled. Review the subscription terms at signup.

When is TurboScribe the better fit?

TurboScribe is worth considering when you need direct DOCX or PDF exports, or an ongoing free tier with three 30-minute files daily. Speechyou is compelling for lower individual subscription prices, broader language coverage, 10 GB uploads, a mobile app, and an integrated note-and-AI workflow.

Can I use Speechyou on my phone?

Yes. Speechyou has a mobile app for iPhone and iPad, so you can record ideas, transcribe conversations, ask for summaries, and share notes on the go. It is also available on Mac.

Can I connect Speechyou to Claude, ChatGPT, or other AI tools?

Yes. Speechyou’s MCP connector lets compatible AI clients search and read your voice notes and transcripts. Connect it to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or another MCP-compatible client that supports custom connectors. Availability and setup depend on the client and its plan.

How large can my Speechyou uploads be?

Speechyou Solo supports uploads up to 10 GB per file. TurboScribe Unlimited lists a 5 GB and 10-hour limit per file. File size and recording duration are different limits; a 10 GB upload allowance does not promise a particular processing time.

Can I transfer my TurboScribe library?

Keep your original recordings and export any transcripts you need from TurboScribe. You can upload supported recordings to Speechyou within its plan limits. A one-click migration of folders, edits, and speaker labels has not been verified, so this page does not promise one.
